Data Conversion
In this step, you will use the MUT Marks Conversion Tool to convert the Excel file you exported from AppNow into the correct format required by Microsoft Dynamics.

Step 2 of 5 — Data Conversion
What you will do
- Open the conversion tool at
marks.nt.se.ke - Upload your exported Excel file
- Enter the academic year, semester, year of study, and programme code
- Inspect and convert the data
- Download the converted file
Step-by-step instructions
1. Open the Marks Conversion Tool
- Open your web browser.
- Navigate to:
marks.nt.se.ke
2. Upload your Excel file
- Click Upload.
- Browse to the Excel file you saved in Step 1.
- Select the file and click Open.
3. Enter the required details
After uploading, fill in the fields:

| Year of Study | Year 1 |
| Programme Code | EN 200 |
Enter the programme code exactly
The programme code must match what is in the system exactly. For example: EN 200 (not "Engineering 200" or "en200").
4. Inspect the data
- Click Inspect to verify the tool has correctly read all fields.
- Confirm the translated data looks correct — column headers and student records should be visible.
5. Convert and download
- Click Convert.
- The converted file will automatically move to your Downloads folder.
- This is now your exam data file in the correct format.

Proceed to Step 3 — Microsoft Dynamics to generate the marks template from the new system.
